Before I finish The Crypt Part II I want to make sure what's currently there is the best possible foundation! Here's the first round of changes, expect more changes before The Crypt Part II!
I'll be working on a large bugfix update for all the reported bugs that have been pushed to the side while I worked on The Crypt. It will come out later this month along with the Halloween Event!
Make sure to make any bug reports now so they can be patched before the next update!
Perks:
Refilling Salve now properly refills your Healing salve at the end of wave 5 and end of wave 10
More Chests will now guarantee at least one basic enemy from each wave will drop a chest.
Even More Chests’ price is reduced from 1,000 to 500
Better Starter Chests now has a 100% chance to upgrade the center starter chest, a 25% chance to upgrade the two adjacent to center, and a 10% chance to upgrade the furthest chests (assuming you don’t have Bigger Starter Chests) The weapon you’re given will always be found in a Tier II chest.
Accumulated Death’s price is increased from 1,000 to 2,500
Spear Spite has been changed to: Crypt spears have +1 attack range, and pierce enemies up to their attack range. Damage is reduced by 50% each consecutive hit.
Spear Reach has been changed to: Crypt spears have +3 attack range and the width of Spear Spite is increased after the first tile.
Extended Strike is now a flat +5 attack range with Crypt spears, and all tiers of Crypt warhammer deal damage a 5x5 area.
Extended Surge now applies to all tiers of Crypt Staves, exploding and dealing damage to all enemies in a 5x5 area
Scimitar Slash now has its larger arc from the beginning and no longer requires Extended Slash
Extended Slash has been renamed to Cyclone Slash and has been changed to: Crypt Scimitars attack all enemies surrounding you and hit larger enemies by their size + 1.
Slash Dash’s damage bonus now starts at 100% bonus, and increases to 200% with Slash Dash III. When Slash Dashing, you will always damage all enemies around you (when you reach your target) even before you unlock the Cyclone Slash perk.
Crit Point perks now always deal your max hit * crit bonus. The crit chance rolls regardless if you failed the accuracy check.
Extended Truth’s price has been reduced to 3000 souls and now gives a flat +3 attack range to all Crypt bows
Stretched Truth has been added which has the effect: The width of the Arrow True perk is increased after the first tile.
Deadly Volley can now hit larger enemies more than once
Deadlier Volley has been changed to: Additional javelins thrown deal full damage
Perfected Shot has been renamed to Extended Shot and changed to: Cross Chain will ricochet up to 5 times within 2 tiles of the last enemy. Deadly Volley's AOE range is increased, and will hit larger enemies by their size + 1.
Extended Chain has been renamed to Perfected Shot and changed to: Cross Chain's damage is not reduced per consecutive hit.
Explosive Bolt’s attack area is now calculated when the spell lands, rather than when it is fired.
Enduring Wave’s damage is no longer reduced with each consecutive hit by default
Unstoppable Rush II has been removed (you will get your souls back if you reset your perks)
Unstoppable Rush III has been renamed to Unstoppable Barrage and now only applies to Bouncing Blast
Extended Surge has been renamed to Enduring Surge and now also increases the width of Enduring Wave
The Noxious perks have been buffed to 20-60% chance to apply per successful hit, and is now triggered every 5 ticks instead of every 10 ticks.
Cross Chain and Bouncing Blast can no longer directly bounce back to the enemy it bounced to last.
The attack can still bounce back to the first enemy, but it needs to bounce twice first; it can bounce between 3 enemies, but it will no longer bounce back and forth between two enemies
Blinding Barrage now reduces enemies’ accuracy by 50%, Freezing Blitz now reduces enemies’ attack speed by 50%, Binding Bolt has been renamed to Crippling Bolt and now reduces enemies’ damage by 50%, and Hammer Stun has been renamed to Hammer Bonk which confuses enemies, causing them to attack other enemies.
Noxious Burst is now applied to Spellmaces and Freezing Blitz now applies to Crypt Staves. If you purchased any of these they have been swapped too, so if you owned Noxious Burst you now own Freezing Blitz and vice-versa. You can of course use your reset credit to refund these for free and rebuild your loadout.
All players will now start with 1 free reset credit. Your first reset will refund 100% of your souls back to you.
The game keeps track of what you actually purchased the perk for when calculating refund. If a price has gone up, you will only receive the souls you paid. If a price has gone down, you will receive your full souls back that you spent, and may purchase it again at the lower price.
I will likely give everyone a free credit any time a substantial amount of perks have changed in price or function.
You will now be fully healed when a round first starts – you don’t need to wait for the between-round regen to heal you before starting the round.
The range defence multiplier has been reduced slightly for enemies
Absorption bonuses have been removed from Crypt armor, as it breaks at higher values and the Tank equipment is meant to handle this
Thorns equipment will now always redirect at least 10 damage, even if you were hit for a 0.
The bonuses from the accessories in The Crypt will now be shown on the interface, so you can keep track of what each piece of equipment you’re wearing does for you
The Crypt Ghost Champion is now size 2
The Crypt Ghost Champion’s cloud attack now deals between 20-30% of your maximum hitpoints if it hits you
Currently dying NPCs will have their options removed, so you can easily click through them.
The Necromancer in the basement is now called “Stranger”
This is mainly to differentiate him from the Necromancer in The Crypt for your Menu Entry Swapper changes
There is now a Storage box near the entrance to The Crypt. You can store your items in it. This box has also been placed in Daemonheim (to replace the Dungeoneering tutor holding your items) and in the Dominion Tower
Items like vote rewards will automatically go into the box if you can’t claim them right away, even if you aren’t an UIM
Your items will be returned to you if you leave the area where you dropped them off
Any player can use the box if you don’t want to bank your items, but your items will still be returned to you if you leave the area
Trying to equip a lower tier piece of equipment when you already have a fully upgraded piece will now give you a message saying it’s already fully upgraded, rather than equipping it and replacing the higher tier item.
You will now properly be forced to talk to the Necromancer after you complete Round 5 for the first time, not Round 4 in The Crypt
Fixed an error that could prevent the ::whatdrops command from working properly
The ::whatdrops command now properly shows both variants if a monster drops a noted and unnoted version of the same item
Fixed various typos involving The Crypt
